The World Championship was no flash in the pan is what the Indians proved on Saturday with a comprehensive victory over Australia. And as the Australia captain admitted later they still had many a things to learn about this version of the game. A clinical performance by the Indians winning by 7 wickets with 11 balls to spare. Thats a lot in Twenty20

Australia won the toss and elected to bat and lost Gilchrist in the first over after he had stuck 3 fours . Ricky Ponting played a sensible innings as the other Aussie batsmen batted around him and Australia reached a respectable score of 166

Respectable it seemed until the Indians came out to bat.. Indians never looked in trouble as gautam Gambhir took off from where he had left in the Twenty20 final. Robin Uthappa hit some delightful strokes and Yuvraj Singh hit some empty blows as India strolled to the target

A nice way for India to end the series.
